Construction on the Wenchang-Qionghai Expressway in Hainan province has been moving forward at a steady pace. It is expected to open to traffic by the end of this year.
As a major part of Hainan's expressway network, the Wenchang-Qionghai Expressway has a total length of more than 65.7 kilometers, stretching from Haiwen Expressway to the north corner of the Hainan Loopwire Expressway and Qionghai Boao Airport. When completed, it will cut travel time between Wenchang and Qionghai to just 30 minutes.
