Guangzhou-based China Southern Airlines will open a new flight between Guangzhou and the Austrian capital of Vienna during its new flying season, which will begin on March 31.
It will be the first flight to Austria offered by the airline. The flight numbers will be CZ6021 and CZ6022, and the flights will be offered every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday on a Boeing 787 plane starting June 18.

The plane will leave Guangzhou every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 09:30 and arrive in Urumchi at 14:30. It will then leave Urumchi at 16:10 and arrive in Vienna at 17:30. The return flight will leave at 18:55 on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, land in Urumchi at 07:55 the following day for a 1.5-hour layover, and then arrive in Guangzhou at 14:25.
China Southern Airlines will also add new flights to international destinations such as Rome in Italy, Nairobi in Kenya, Bali in Indonesia and Christchurch in New Zealand.
It will also add flights to South Asia, Southeast Asia, the South Pacific, and Central and Western Asia, key areas of the Belt and Road Initiative.
