Chongfu Temple in Shuozhou city, Shanxi province, has been open to the public free of charge since Feb 18.
The temple covering an area of over 23,400 square meters in Shuocheng district in the city is one of most complete temples built in Liao Dynasty (916-1125) and Jin Dynasty (1115-1234) and a representative of Shanxi architecture.
The temple is famous for its sculptures, murals, glazed ridges and doors and windows with Jin Dynasty style carved decorations.
Since recently opening its doors for free, the temple has received over 3,000 visitors per day, over ten times more than before.
