Jiangsu residents’ per capita disposable income in 2018 reached 38,096 yuan ($5663.76) with a year-on-year increase of 8.8 percent, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
The per capital disposable income of urban residents in 2018 rose by 8.2 percent year-on-year to 47,200 yuan. In Jiangsu’s rural areas, the per capita disposable income was up 8.8 percent to 20,845 yuan compared with that of the precious year. The urban-rural income gap was further narrowed from 2.227 versus 1 to 2.264 versus 1.
In 2018, Jiangsu saw its per capita wage income surge 7.6 percent to 21,948 yuan, along with a 7.8-percent growth in per capita net income, which hit 5,386 yuan. The per capita property income was 3,746 yuan with an increase of 15.7 percent, and the per capita net transfer income rose by 9.8 percent to 7,016 yuan.
