Kaihua, a county in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, plans to establish a general aviation town, local media recently reported.
With an investment of approximately 5 billion yuan ($725 million) from Shanghai Zenisum Investment Group Co, the general aviation facility will be constructed in two phases, covering an area of 2,300 mu (153.33 hectares).
Based on the general aviation airport in the county, the town will integrate numerous different businesses, including tourism, aviation training, rehabilitation therapy, and intelligent manufacturing.
The general aviation airport in Kaihua was approved by the East China Regional Administration of Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) in the latter half of last year.
The airport will fill in a gap in the general aviation industry in Kaihua and boost integration of the Quzhou county into East China's tourism community.
