Farm produce deep-processing industry

In 2017, the farm produce deep-processing industrial and biopharmaceutical industrial clusters completed sales revenue of 32.4 billion yuan ($5.17 billion) in Shenbei, up 53.1 percent, the largest growth of Shenyang's industrial clusters, according to the Shenyang Economic and Information Technology Committee. 

In the future, Shenyang will promote the integration of the first, second and third industries, prioritize the land use index of agricultural products deep-processing projects, and support grain and oil, livestock and poultry, and dairy processing enterprises in adopting advanced processing equipment. It aims to introduce and cultivate 10 leading processing enterprises, support their scientific and technological innovation and upgrading, and build a national production base for the processing of grain and oil, meat, and livestock feed. 

By 2020, the proportion of intensive and deep processing of main agricultural products is expected to have reached more than 50 percent. Eighty famous brands of agricultural products above the provincial level are expected to have been cultivated, and the output value of the farm produce deep-processing industry will exceed 100 billion yuan.
