Guizhou's expressways recently appeared in The Grand Tour, a British motoring series produced by Amazon Studios, showcasing to the world China's impressive expressway achievements throughout the past 30 years.
China didn't build its first expressway until 1988, and has now built a total of 135,200 kilometers of expressways, more than any other country in the world.

Since 2011, China has been building 9,600 kilometers of expressway per year, including in mountainous areas such as Guizhou.
The program is available in over 200 countries and regions around the world and has been viewed by around 120 million people. It is the most viewed motor series in the world.
With a huge budget of 4.5 million pounds ($5.9 million) per episode, the program uses impressive visual effects to make audiences feel like they are really driving on Guizhou's expressways.
Known as the world's bridge museum, many famous bridges in Guizhou, including the Beipanjiang Bridge, the highest bridge in the world, and Balinghe Bridge, the largest expressway bridge in Asia, appeared in the program.
