A Chinese team took third place at the 46th International Snow Sculpture Contest held during the 70th Sapporo Snow Festival in Japan, held from Feb 4 to 11.
Originating in Odori Park in 1950, the Sapporo Snow Festival has become one of the world's four largest ice and snow festivals, along with Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival in China, the Quebec Winter Carnival in Canada, and Norway's Ski Festival.
Perfect World, the winning Chinese sculpture created by artists Su Shi and Guo Jingfeng from Harbin, capital city of Heilongjiang province, depicts a paper cutting of a girl enjoying natural scenery.
