Starcrest Education Belt & Road Limited is the world's first company focusing on educational development for the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). The company is based in Southwest China's Guizhou province and was listed on the mainboard of the London Stock Exchange (LSE) on Jan 31.

Being Guizhou's first private company listed on the LSE, Starcrest has lead the way in connecting Guizhou education with the rest of the world and has showed a strong willingness to cooperate with countries involved in the BRI.

The company is a subsidiary of Starcrest Education, an international group based in Guizhou that focuses on educational consulting, mandatory administration, educational training, and educational investment management.

Starcrest Education has successfully introduced international educational institutions, such as the University of Suceave in Romania, to China. It also holds a controlling share in an after-hours childcare institution from Taiwan. The institution currently has over 350 branches across the Taiwan Straits, with over 100,000 students.

A foundation founded by the group, along with Guiyang Venture Capital Co, has been used to invest in educational services, big data education and internet education, which is expected to provide support for more elite education-related companies throughout Guizhou.

With the goal of building an international industrial chain centered on K-12 education, the group hopes to bring more international high-end educational resources to Guizhou.
