A seminar to discuss Belt and Road logistics innovation and application was held in Changchun, Northeast China's Jilin province, on Jan 30.
The meeting, hosted by the Department of Commerce of Jilin Province, was designed to explore different ways the province could develop a logistics hub in Northeast Asia and enhance its participation in the Belt and Road Initiative.
Nearly 100 attendees participated in the seminar, including representatives from Russia, Germany, Latvia and Poland.
A global intelligent monitoring system for containers was also launched during the two-day event. The system is able to provide detailed tracking information for shipping consignments, enabling faster customs clearance.
A meeting to promote Jilin province as place to do business for companies around the world and a seminar on the operation of the Changchun-Hunchun-Europe train line, which is currently undergoing tests, were also held during the event.
