In winter, plum blossoms are like the floral fairies that herald the advent of spring. At Slender West Lake scenic area, one of Yangzhou's most famous scenic areas, plum trees are planted in three of the major attractions: Xiaojinshan, Jingxiang Study and Luochun Hall.

It is expected that the optimum viewing time will arrive after Jan 20. Moreover, a bonsai plum blossom exhibition in Xu Garden in the area and the plum blossom display held in Yangzhou bonsai museum in mid and late January are recommended for visitors.
