Achievements of 2018 Nansha

2018 was an extraordinary year in the development process of Nansha. We forged head with construction of the state-level new zone, the free trade zone and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in practical ways.

We focused on deepening reform and expanding opening up. Besides innovative development, we also prioritized taking full advantage of Nansha's functions and improving people's livelihoods. Thus, the economy has achieved great progress. It is estimated that the regional GDP for 2018 will be around 150 billion yuan ($22.24 billion).

The free trade zone made great achievements in reform and innovation.

• Formulated and implemented a list of 90 tasks

• Nansha made 105 new reform and innovation achievements, of which 17, 16 and 31 were respectively instituted and promoted in the country, province and city.

• Significant reforms were implemented, such as the confirmation system of commercial registration, the“business license and certificate separation 2.0”, the international business communication, and“one window acceptance, fifty-card jointhandling”.

• 60% (1125 items) of government service achieved “zero running”, and the overall satisfaction of government service ranked first in the city.

• The Free Trade Zone Court won the honorary title of National Excellent Court.

Construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Comprehensive Cooperation Demonstration Zone was accelerated.

• A system for construction of the Greater Bay Area was established, with good results.

• The One Belt and One Road Enterprise Cooperation Alliance of Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macao was established.

• A special support policy for Hong Kong and Macao talents was introduced.

• The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) settled in Nansha.

• 160 government services can now be handled in the Greater Bay Area.

• Deepened cooperation with key areas in the Greater Bay Area and signed strategic cooperation agreements with Zhongshan Cuiheng New Areaand Foshan Shunde District.

Great progress was made in patrol inspection, supervision and examination.

• The central patrol feedback rectification was considered as an important political task.

• Of the 173 tasks on the list, 164 were completed or achieved phased results.

• Specific measures were implemented and initial results were obtained for nine ongoing projects.
