Sanya Paddy Field National Park, located in Wanpo village, Haitang district, Sanya, Hainan is the largest rice and dinosaur theme park in Sanya to integrate agriculture and tourism.
The park opens to the public on Jan 24, 2018. Its first section spans an area of 2,800 mu (186.67 hectares) and costs a total of 2.3 billion yuan ($339.7 million).
The park, featuring a rice paddy garden, an area with 323 life-size dinosaur models, paddy-themed restaurants, and a flower garden, was rated as a national 4A-level tourist attraction last September.
A sea of flowers, particularly attractive during the winter months, meets the increasingly high demands of tourists and serves as a symbol of the park's beautiful natural ecosystems.

The park is unique in its integration of science, agriculture, ecosystems, culture and tourism. It serves as an effective platform for creating interest in and awareness of rice paddies.
With rural prosperity as its ultimate development goal, the park has shaped its agricultural sightseeing zone, including entertainment and study activities related to farming and agriculture, to promote the rural economy and enhance the cultural industry by integrating agriculture and tourism.
Under the guidance of State institutions, the park's 150-mu paddy research center has discovered promising new species and made technical progress through the employment of experienced experts. The park is important to domestic food production and provides a huge variety of crops.
With the aim of building a national cultural industry demonstration center, Sanya Paddy Field National Park is preserving traditional paddy culture and continues to innovate. Taking advantage of achievements by Yuan Longping, the "father of hybrid rice" in China, and his team, the park aims to establish a cultural connection between Chinese rice paddies and rice paddies in other parts of the world through research into ecological culture, paddy farming culture, rural society, science and education.
As a comprehensive theme park, Sanya Paddy Field National Park introduces people to a new tourism format and helps develop the travel market in Sanya by sharing new ideas related to productive and experienced agricultural ecosystems.
