Ice skating on Shichahai Lake

Surrounded by historical mansions and natural beauty, Shichahai is a must visit scenic area in Beijing, it has been the imperial “ice play” place since the Ming Dynasty. In winter, the frozen lake turns into a giant ice rink, offering skating, sleigh riding and ice bicycles for beginners who don’t want to miss out on the fun. Growing numbers of people have visited the rink day and night since it opened to public. This year, the rinks opened a 160,000-square-meter skating area to tourists. The traditional Cuqiu activity can be experienced as well!
