Tourists from surrounding cities are set to have their family reunion dinner on the Lunar New Year's Eve in the homestays of Quzhou, Zhejiang province, local media reported on Jan 28.
Spring Festival is the time of the year where family reunions are held in China and the Lunar New Year's Eve dinner is of great importance for the Chinese in their lives.
Fu Danbo, general manager of a homestay in Kecheng district, said that all of their guestrooms have been booked and visitors of more than 20 tables are expected to spend their New Year's Eve in the homestay.
Most of the visitors come from Shanghai, Hangzhou and other cities, according to Fu.
All the rooms of another homestay in Jiangshan county have also been booked, including more than 70 villas.
The general manager said that in addition to the regular feast on the New Year's Eve, they will also prepare lanterns, performances and firework shows to entertain their guests.
These urban visitors often just want to savor the sights and sounds of fireworks once more since they are now not permitted in urban areas.
Quzhou boasts a dazzling array of high quality homestays, six of which have recently been identified as the province's boutique family inns by the Zhejiang Culture and Tourism Office.
