During the winter, the annual China Harbin Sun Island Snow Sculpture Art Expo is held on Sun Island. Many domestic and international snow sculpture competitions take place there, and visitors can also take part in activities including dog sledding, a snow slide ring, snow bikes, and snowmobiles.

Using "a dream tour in a snowfield" as its theme, this year's snow sculpture artistic show at Sun Island is held in five thematic areas, covering 900,000 square meters. When the night falls, visitors can also enjoy a large 3D snow show at the site. With such a beautiful landscape, the Sun Island is also a nice place to have a picnic, go on a nature tour or go swimming.
