Guizhou publicizes national achievements in Dong language

In Liping county, Guizhou province, a special event was held to publicize China's great achievements in the Dong ethnic language. Hundreds of university volunteers and locals attended.

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the event mainly focused on spreading awareness of national achievements in order to increase patriotism.

During the lecture, Guizhou University students presented Guizhou's development in the Dong language. They distributed brochures and wrote Spring Festival couplets along with the locals to celebrate China's great achievements over the past 70 years.

Hundreds of student volunteers are expected to make use of their summer and winter holidays to teach locals about recent social changes and boost their confidence in poverty alleviation efforts.
