China Liaoning CEEC Pavilion established in Liaoning

A national-level pavilion serving as a platform for economy, culture, education, tourism and investment communications between China and 16 countries along the Belt and Road was founded in northeast China's Liaoning province on Jan 16.

The China Liaoning CEEC Pavilion is located in Tiexi district, Shenyang, the capital city of Liaoning.

More than 1,000 categories of commodities from central and eastern European countries are on display at the standing pavilion, housing products from wine, beverages, honey, and chocolate to vehicles and drones.

The pavilion was established to implement the "China-Central and Eastern European Countries Cooperation Sofia Outline" signed by 17 state leaders in Sofia, Bulgaria last July and to help Liaoning establish more economic and cultural ties with European countries.

Shenyang was chosen as the permanent site of the China Liaoning CEEC Pavilion as it has a strong desire to increase investment and trade cooperation with many European countries, said Suo Peng, commercial counselor of Ministry of the People's Republic of China of China Department of European Affairs.

At the launching ceremony for the China Liaoning CEEC Pavilion, over 300 official and business representatives attended. In addition, the China Liaoning CEEC Pavilion signed a business cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Investment and Development of Latvia.
