Visitors now have a new excuse to visit Changchun, capital of Jilin province, thanks to the opening of an exciting new agricultural fair.
The 10th Jilin (Changchun) Winter Agricultural Fair opened at Changchun Modern Agricultural Park on Jan 23, and has been attracting scores of people coming to view its plants, flowers, fish, rare birds, and examples of future models of sustainable agriculture.
Hosted by Changchun municipal people's government and organized by Changchun Jingyue High-tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee and Changchun Modern Agricultural Park, the event will run until Feb 11, except on Feb 4 when it will be closed for Chinese New Year's Eve.
The event will cover an exhibition area totaling 200,000 square meters and is expected to promote local agriculture and raise the area's profile across the country.
