Starting from the Lantern Festival on Feb 19 and lasting until Feb 25, the 9th Yuexiu Temple Fair will bring people all kinds of merriment characterized with Cantonese style in Yuexiu District.

Temple fairs have a long history in China. During the Chinese New Year, families can go to the temple fair to pray and enjoy the festive atmosphere. As a result, temple fairs have become a must for the Spring Festival in many places.

The first Yuexiu Temple was held in 2011 and has become an influential folk culture hub in south China within a few years. The Guangfu Temple Fair covers the theme activities, including puppet shows, Chinese arts, kung fu performances, and the lantern show. It includes rich content touching on blessing culture, folk culture, food culture, business culture, and leisure culture.
