The Department of Housing and Urban-rural Development of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region signed a strategic agreement with a Changsha-based company to develop prefabricated construction on Jan 21.
Compared with traditional cast-in-place buildings, prefabricated construction has evident advantages in energy saving, material saving and emission reduction. Prefabricated structures also play a supporting role in promoting the development of green building, and the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry.
In September 2007, Inner Mongolia issued opinions to push forward the development of prefabricated construction.
According to the opinions, prefabricated buildings will account for over 10 percent of new structures across the region.
Changsha Broad Homes Industrial Group Co Ltd, the first company engaged in research and application of industrial systems in China, is also the first one with independent intellectual property rights, securing its place as a leading player in the industry.
In 2017, the company joined hands with other enterprises including Joindo BROAD, an Inner Mongolia-based service operator focused on the sustainable development of cities, to build a prefabricated industrial park in Horinger New Area, forming a strong foundation for further cooperation.
