Sichuan Airlines opened a new hanger for its aircraft in Harbin, Heilongjiang province, on Jan 17.
The new hanger represents the first aircraft facility that the airline has opened in the Northeast China region. The facility was designed by China Aviation Planning and Design Institute Co and constructed by China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co.
It covers an area of 11,052 square meters and comprises of a main hangar, special garage and auxiliary production room.
The hangar will mainly be used for aircraft maintenance and storage; and the special garage will be used for filling oxygen cylinders and de-icing.
