Archery winter camp opens in Taiyuan

A winter youth camp for target shooting and archery opened in Taiyuan, Shanxi province on Jan 20.

Sponsored by the Shanxi Sport Bureau, the winter camp attracted over 500 students from more than 80 schools in 10 cities and counties across the province.

Top shooting and archery athletes in Shanxi such as Huo Ruiping, Wang Zhiwei and Zhu Shanshan were invited to demonstrate the correct posture and movements for target shooting and archery to students at the opening ceremony.

Besides target shooting and archery basics, lectures on the history and culture of archery and firearms will be held during the camp.
