Hassan Shahbeig, charge de Affairs of the Iranian Embassy in China, recently shared his views with China Daily on China's reform and opening-up and Belt and Road Initiative.
Since the reform and opening-up in 1978, China has been forging ahead on this path. "Open-door policies in China have made lots of progress. It has made economic growth. And at the same time, it has made lots of expansion of its relations with the other countries and the world," said Shabeige, hailing China's 40 years of achievements.
When talking about the Belt and Road Initiative, he said that a zero-sum game will lead to an uncertain future for humanity. The Iranian government supports and has been implementing the initiative.
"We are thinking that if this idea could be expanded and at the same time the others be involved in this initiative, it will make a safer and more prosperous and more secured globe for all human beings," Shabeige said.
