Measures released to improve medical services

The government will take three major measures to help improve medical and health service in the city, Hohhot Health and Family Planning Commission announced on Jan 16.

According to the plan, Hohhot will continue to improve the construction of township medical facilities. It will also offer special subsidies for medical workers at the township hospitals to attract more skilled workers.

Free genetic testing of inherited metabolic diseases for newborn babies will be organized across the city.

The free service will help improve the quality of newborn population.

The municipal government will also push forward the establishment of emergency medical network to meet the demands of local people.

According to the government, it will build a comprehensive network linking air and land medical resources so as to upgrade the city's emergency work to a new level.
