A peony painting exhibition is being held at Yunbanjian Cultural Creativity Workshop in Quzhou, Zhejiang province from Jan 22 to Feb 19.
Peony, a token of wealth, luck, happiness and prosperity in China, was a symbol of admiration in ancient China because of its splendor and beauty.
The exhibition showcases 29 peony paintings by renowned Chinese painter Shao Li.
Senior horticulturists will also be invited to teach visitors how to cultivate peony and introduce peony culture, a special cultural phenomenon in China, which has developed in no small part because of the long-term process of peony cultivation.
