The Donghai Human Dragon Dance performed by the Zhanjiang Human Dragon Dance Troupe emerged victorious after two rounds of assessment, earning the 10th Guangdong Lu Xun Literature and Art Award on Jan 17.
With a history of more than 400 years, the Human Dagon Dance is a traditional dance in which men carry teenage boys above their heads, linking each person together and forming the shape of a dragon. It won the Mountain Flower Award, China's most prestigious folk art award, in 2013.

The Lu Xun award, founded in 1981 by the Guangdong Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Guangdong Provincial Writers Association and the Publicity Department of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, only recognizes the best literary and artistic creations in Guangdong.
