Representatives from more than 40 enterprises gathered in East China's Shandong province to discuss enterprise resource sharing and cooperation to boost the development of a pilot zone for local economic and commercial cooperation for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
"The gathering aims to establish a platform for enterprises within the development zone to enhance communication and achieve win-win development," said Wang Desheng, an official from the Jiaozhou Economic and Technological Development Zone in Qingdao.
The gathering was held on Friday in Qingdao, Shandong province — the third gathering for enterprises at the development zone.
Some enterprises launched cooperation at the last two gatherings.
Zhou Tao, head of an aluminum processing company, said the company has adopted a new smart electrical network to ensure electrical safety, and the technology is from a company in the development zone.
"It takes less than five minutes to walk from our company to our provider, which is very convenient for maintenance," Zhou said.
Last year, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit was held in Qingdao and has brought more business opportunities for the port city. The economic zone aims to better serve the development of enterprises.
