The Greek Pavilion officially opened to the public on Jan 14 in the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone.

As the first exhibition and exchange platform for a foreign country after the China International Import Expo that was held last November, the pavilion will carry out trade and cooperation promotion, cultural and sports exchange activities as well tourism promotion for Greek enterprises and agencies.

The pavilion will serve as a comprehensive window to showcase Greece's national image and further promote China-Greece cooperation in the areas of economy, trade, culture, science and technology.

Several projects were signed at the opening ceremony.

A work group promoting Belt and Road construction under the National Development and Reform Commission signed a memorandum of understanding on the digital economy with the Greek government.

The ministry of tourism of Greece signed a cooperation agreement with China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Gansu provincial government to jointly host an exhibition on Renaissance.

The Greece Council for the Promotion of International Trade signed a memorandum of understanding on comprehensive cooperation with Shanghai-based DeepBlue Technology Co to promote the application of artificial intelligence in Greek urban transportation, banking, smart city solutions and other projects.
