Nantong Tonghai Port Co has opened a direct route linking Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province, with Yingkou, Northeast China’s Liaoning province, according to local media reports.
The launch of the new direct route will cut the shipping time in half for customers sending cargo from Nantong to Yingkou, as well as the surrounding areas. The new service will also significantly cut logistics costs for businesses.
The new route is the third domestic trade route to be offered by the port after two links were opened with Tianjin and Guangzhou. Container ships are set to operate a Yingkou service once every five days.
