Jing Junhai, governor of Northeast China's Jilin province, met Paavo Virkkunen, executive deputy director of Business Finland in Beijing on Jan 14, to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU).
The governor outlined many areas the two sides have established cooperation in, especially in industries related to ice and snow activities.
With a cold climate, Jilin is looking to expand its winter sports offerings and develop related industries, such as winter tourism, according to Jing.
The province expects to deepen cooperation with Business Finland to promote development, he added.
Virkkunen said that he expected to see more links between the two sides, producing a range of mutual benefits.
