On March 15, 2017, the Maritime Safety Administration of the Ministry of Transport of China made “Nansha, Guangdong” the international ship registration port of the Nansha Free Trade Zone. And the International Ship Registration Center is responsible for receiving, publicizing and issuing certificates.
Enterprises can apply for international ship registration services at the Nansha Maritime Office. They can enjoy efficient and high-quality registration without going back and forth to Guangzhou.
For more than a year, the Nansha Maritime Affairs Office has cooperated with the Guangzhou Maritime Safety Administration to carry out preparatory work, simplify the registration process, and greatly reduce the processing time through “one-stop acceptance”, “parallel handling”, “green channels” and online pre-audits. The registration application for the No. 68 Nansha ship was completed within two working days.
In addition, the Nansha Free Trade Zone has introduced an international maritime industry incentive support policy, granting a subsidy of RMB 60/ton to ships registered at the “Nansha” port of registry and a mortgage registration subsidy.
Nansha also provides incentives and support measures for international liner routes, international ship management, ship inspection, seafarer assignments and seafarers' individual economic contributions.
