Frame of bridge connecting districts in Ningbo completed

The frame of a bridge connecting Yinzhou and Jiangbei districts of Ningbo, Zhejiang province has finished construction, with the final touches being made on Jan 15. 

The Zhongxing Bridge stretches 2.62 kilometers long across the Yongjiang River. It started construction on Nov 17, 2016 and has an investment amount of 2.63 billion yuan ($388.6 million). 

A highlight of the bridge lies in its double-deck design, with the upper deck for automobiles and the lower deck for pedestrians and non-motor vehicles, which makes for better security for both pedestrians and drivers travelling across the bridge. 

The bridge is expected to enter operation in 2020.
