The Zunyi Executive Leadership Academy complex in Zunyi city, Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently won the 2018 Luban Prize for Construction Projects, becoming the only piece of architecture in Guizhou to win the prize in 2018.
The academy is a cluster of public buildings built in 2016 that cover an area of 61,668.4 square meters. It serves as a public facility for meetings, scientific research and exhibitions.
The project strictly followed the Luban Prize's quality standards by adopting advanced innovative construction techniques. It was named the demonstration site for safe and green construction in Guizhou.
The Luban Prize, established in 1987 by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, is the most prestigious award for construction projects in China. It is given out once every two years based on evaluations by the China Construction Industry Association.
