The winning bid of the ownership of four A320 aircrafts and their fuselages was a subsidiary of China Aircraft Leasing. Liu Xiaohong, chairman of Guangzhou Stock Exchange Group and the Guangzhou Equity Exchange, said that the aircraft asset transaction is an opportunity to explore and build an internationally influential aviation asset trading platform.
The signing project is the first aircraft disposal project carried out by China Southern Airlines through its property rights trading platform, and has achieved many innovations:
The aircraft is rather old at more than 20 years, its body and asset package were traded abroad. An exclusive channel for foreign currency fund settlement of large import and export assets was created and the project launched globally competitive bidding of aircraft assets and full-process bilingual service in both Chinese and English.
The English column and the bidding system access channel are specially designed to realize seamless connection between Chinese and English systems. The full-process English service is provided to enhance participation by overseas customers.
Xu Feng, general manager of China Southern Airlines Leasing, said, “This transaction will lay the foundation for the two parties to continue to build a new platform for cooperation and development." Ruan Xiaohong, deputy mayor of the Nansha District Government, said that the Nansha Free Trade Zone will replicate the transaction model and promote the transfer of cross-border aircraft leasing.
