Tianchang Economic Development Zone is a provincial-level development zone. It was officially constructed in October 2003. In 2017, it was renamed Anhui Chuzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone.
The development zone is located 1 kilometer west of downtown Tianchang, Anhui Province, in the Yangtze River Delta area, the most economically dynamic region in China. It is also included in the Nanjing Metropolitan Economic Cooperation Area, and Jiangsu province, Yangzhou, Shanghai and Nanjing are a few hours’ drive away.
In 2016, the park achieved total industrial output value of 61 billion yuan ($304.74 million) and tax revenue of 2.06 billion yuan. Various economic indicators such as industrial output value, industrial added value of enterprises above designated size, fixed assets investment and tax revenue were ranked among the highest in Anhui province.
