A total of 100 photographs were chosen for a photography contest hosted by the Chinese Photographers and Inner Mongolia Photographers’ Association, opening in Baotou recently, reports Baotou Daily.
The contest, aimed at promoting Wudang Lamasery as a photogenic location, attracted a wide selection of photographers from regions including Beijing, Hebei, Shaanxi, Shanxi, and Inner Mongolia, and received more than 3,200 photographs of the natural scenery, ethnic customs, history and culture, landscapes and cultural activities of the tourist area.
Wudang Lamasery in Shiguai district is one of the three most famous lamaseries for Tibetan Buddhism in China. It is on its way to becoming a national 5A-level scenic area. [Photo/Baotou Daily]
