Quzhou firms benefit from intelligent manufacturing

Companies from Kecheng district in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province have seen rapid development over the past year thanks to intelligent manufacturing transformation, according to recent local media reports.

The bearing ring supplier Zhejiang Jinwo Jinggong Co generated 540 million yuan ($78.27 million) in 2018 with an increase of 28 percent year-on-year.

Jinwo also projects two digit increase in 2019 with a total annual revenue of 650 million yuan.

Another 100 automatic production lines are expected to be put into service by 2021 to further boost its development, according to Zheng Licheng, the company's general manager.

The instrument product manufacturer Zhejiang Jichao Automation Technology Co has also improved their processing techniques by upgrading their production equipment with internet of things (IoT) technology.

In order to encourage more local companies' transition from traditional to intelligent manufacturing, Kecheng district has planned to reward 100,000 yuan to 10 local companies each year for their achievements in intelligent manufacturing transformation.
