The Changling Lake Winter Fishing Festival has been held for five consecutive years in Changling Lake, Daoli district, Harbin. The annual festival is aimed at promoting local tourism. After a year-long moratorium on fishing at the lake, it will finally be able to reopen its annual fishing season this year.

As an ancient ceremony to pray for a big harvest kicks off the festivities, tourists will not only have the chance to watch fishermen catch fish from the frozen lake, but also to admire light shows integrating VR technology along Changling Lake. In addition, various ice and snow activities are available for visitors who have no interest in the fishing and light show. Tourists can choose to go down snow slides, ride motorbikes, play soccer, go bowling and enjoy circus performances.
