Videos of three Siberian tiger families have been recorded since May, according to the monitor center of the Northeast China Tiger and Leopard National Park that stretches across Northeast China's provinces of Jilin and Heilongjiang.
According to the park, the latest was on Tuesday, which recorded a female tiger and her two cubs in the national park.
"The AI system of the monitoring equipment judged that this is the first time for the female to be a mother," Feng Limin, deputy director of the center, was quoted by the thepaper.cn.
In October, a video from the center showed another female tiger and her four cubs taking a walk in Hunchun, Jilin province.
And in May, also in Hunchun, a female tiger and her two cubs appeared in a video.
"The constant discoveries of new families of Siberian tigers are a sign of the species' fertility. And it also proves that the park has ushered in a peak season of the tiger's reproduction. We will continuously track the cubs' growth, as well as the species' spread," Feng said.
The center said its monitoring shows there are at least 27 Siberian tigers living in the border area of Jilin province.
