Linpu town of Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, is pulling out all the stops to develop its digital economy, with six cooperative agreements inked at a conference on Jan 8.
Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Co, China's leading supplier of surveillance products, is one of the partners of Linpu. According to the agreement, the alliance will jointly set up a research base devoted to the research and innovation work of intelligent urban management, transportation, civic affairs, tourism and the environment of Linpu.
The two sides also aimed to establish a cooperative mechanism on resources sharing and talent cultivation.
Other projects signed included those in the areas of intelligent catering, intelligent healthcare and the intelligent management of domestic sewage.
As a dynamic town full of innovation and entrepreneurship vigor, Linpu will seize the development opportunities that come its way and expand its presence in the industrialization of digital resources, digitalization of industries, and urban digitalization, said Wang Rundong, Party secretary of the town.
In October, Hangzhou issued a development plan to build itself into a leading city for the digital economy. Xiaoshan district, a digital economy hub in Hangzhou, has made efforts to optimize the local business environment and strengthen support to the development of the digital economy in recent years.
