Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, opened its first direct flight to Guiyang in Guizhou province on Jan 10.
The new route is operated by China Express. The flight departs at 22:15 from Hohhot every day, and takes about three hours.
China Express also launched a promotion to attract travelers. During the promotional period, one-way fares will be as low as 240 yuan ($35.23).
Guiyang, as the political, economic, and cultural center of Guizhou province, is also a major transportation hub in Southwest China.
The new flight is expected to bring more opportunities to Hohhot and Guiyang, promoting economic and trade exchanges between the two capitals.
