A total of 300 representatives from the tea industry and tourism circle witnessed a ceremony in Wuzhishan city on Jan 8 that celebrated the start of the picking season for Hainan's early spring tea.
Eighteen famous Hainan tea brands and tea growers in Wuzhishan also attended the ceremony.

Hainan's spring tea is one of the few Chinese spring teas which can be enjoyed before the Spring Festival. It has been recognized by domestic and overseas tea lovers for its rich nutrition and tastes.
A series of activities for the tea leaf picking season integrating culture, tourism and business aimed to attract more tourists to Hainan and develop tea into a characteristic tourism commodity.
