An employee of CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co Ltd, Luo Zhaoqiang was awarded the second prize of the State Scientific and Technological Progress Award, according to an announcement made on Jan 8.
Luo works in Changchun, capital of Northeast China's Jilin province, where he has been working on a project regarding simulation technology and how it can be applied to testing high-speed trains.

In the future, Luo's employers plan to focus more on the research of advanced technologies for high-speed trains, such as automatic unmanned driving and obstacle detection technologies, to provide a sound development base for China's high-end equipment manufacturing sector.
