"Fashion Art Week" staged at the Nansha Stadium

On the evening of Jan 4, the 2nd Guangzhou Nansha Dance Festival "Fashion Meets International Standard Ballroom Dancing" was staged at Nansha Stadium.

In addition to famous domestic professional college student dancers, the event also invited four dance champions from the United States and seven world performance dance champions including Craig Smith and Andrea Harvey who put on wonderful performances under the stadium’s lights.

International standard ballroom dancing has been a key project in Nansha in recent years. For six consecutive years since 2013, the city has held a world-wide international competition, which polishes the dance culture brand. The energetic dances, an essential part of this Fashion Art Week will be seen again: the finals of a top supermodel contest were held, dazzling everyone with charm and beauty. The Phoenix Dance Team, the Dance Rhythm Art Troupe, and the Hongyi Cheongsam Association took the audience back to the Minguo period (1911-1949).

Selected children also made a debut, adding to the fashion atmosphere. In addition, future flight attendants who had stood out in the national flight attendant competition once again showed their unique abilitieson stage.

Fashion Art Week attracted nearly 20,000 viewers in person and over two million more online. It lasted for six days and covered fashion performances for adults, children and middle-aged people, meeting the cultural needs of different groups. Some literary and art stars, such as Zhao Yazhi, Luo Dahua, and Zhao Liangtook part, made the week a grand cultural event.
