With discussions focusing on the new era and the modern economy, the 2019 Jingyue Forum was held in Changchun, capital of Jilin province, on Jan 3.
During an impressive schedule of keynote speeches and forums, attendees shared their opinions on current global economic currents, new opportunities for growth in Northeast China, and development opportunities for the Changchun Jingyue High-tech Industrial Development Zone.
The city has continued to adjust its economy, upgrading its industries and accelerating the integration of big data and artificial intelligence with the real economy, said Wang Haiying, deputy mayor of Changchun.
Pillar industries, such as car manufacturing and agriculture have seen steady growth, he added.
Wang Tieming, director of the management committee of Jingyue High-tech Industrial Development Zone, noted that Changchun has given top priority to innovation in recent years, and has enjoyed significant success in its efforts to revitalize Northeast China.
Other experts such as Ye Tan, a famous financial analyst and Ye Yonggang, a professor from Wuhan University also debated likely economic trends in China during 2019.
