The number of passengers going through Ordos International Airport in 2018 reached 2.47 million. The number was reached after a plane carrying over 100 passengers from Nanchang, Jiangxi province, successfully landed at the airport, on Dec 31, 2018.
The past few years witnessed the accelerated development of Ordos International Airport, with 1.7 million passengers handled by the airport in 2016, growing to 2.1 million in 2017.
Currently, the airport houses 50 airlines, allowing passengers to travel to 56 cities, including 11 international cities.
The airport operated nine international airlines that had handled a total of 7,800 passengers by the end of 2018.
