A hot spring is a must try in Shenyang. As an ancient spring drawing from 2,640 meters below ground, Beitang Hot Spring has been identified by the China Hot Spring Association as a spring offering medical and health benefits.

The thermal spring water of the resort has a temperature of more than 68 degree celsius and a maximum daily water yield of 1,277 cubic meters. The thermal spring water of the resort is rich in more than 52 kinds of trace elements and minerals beneficial to the human body, including sulfur, iron, manganese, zinc, molybdenum, bromine, with its water quality better than the latest national standard for drinking mineral water.

Heiyuzi, a kind of eggs with black eggshell, is boiled in a special kind of spring water. It can be found only in two places around the world, with Owakudani, Japan being the other source. After 2-3 hours of boiling in the hot spring, the eggs fully absorb the rich minerals in the spring water with its eggshell gradually becoming black and glossy, ensuring that it would taste fresh and delicious.
