Businesses in East China's Fujian province raked in 8.861 billion yuan ($1.3 billion) in revenue during the three-day New Year's day holiday, up 21.3 percent year-on-year, according to data from the local authorities on Tuesday.
The province received 11.83 million visitors in total, an uptick of 15.7 percent over the previous year. Culture, folk customs, intangible heritages and Red-themed tours were particular popular with visitors.
