工厂直播 (gōngchǎng zhíbō): Factory livestreaming

Xinhua News Agency has reported that Chongqing Baiya Sanitary Products Co Ltd, a baby and maternal product enterprise, recently launched livestreaming in their plants, which has drawn wide public concern.

Through the mobile phone client of online e-commerce platform Pinduoduo, consumers can watch the livestreaming of Baiya's entire production process in the plants.

Pinduoduo says the livestreaming from factories is a "new brand project" that aims to support the development of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Through Pinduoduo's livestreaming, companies can make their production processes transparent to the public, with the aim of promoting their brand image and generating consumer trust.

Since the project was launched two weeks ago, more than 700 enterprises have applied to join the livestreaming project and more than 90 of them have completed livestreaming tests.

Livestreaming has produced good social effects by enhancing public supervision of the enterprises' entire production process. Livestreaming also urges these enterprises to enhance production management and product quality, and further promote high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.
